Prayers and Islamic matters at the Tokyo University
The following information describes the prayer places at each campus. Please note that the prayer place at Komaba has changed, but the new place will be updated later.
Hongo
Daily Salat al-Jam'at is held on the 9th floor of the Engineering Building No.8. To get here, please take the elevator till 7th floor. After getting out, turn left (away from the stairs) and then turn left again and walk along the corridor until another staircase is visible. Climb these stairs to reach the daily prayer place. Alternate place in Yayoi campus is also available.
Salat al-Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) is held on the 3rd floor of the Second Refectory Building (Bookstore building), the building next to the bus stop. The entrance to prayer place is inside the main music hall (you will see a washing place before the entrance).
Komaba
Muslims offer their daily prayers in a wooden structure known as "The wooden room", located in front of Co-Op shop (there is only of co-op shop here), Komaba-II Campus.

Kashiwa
The Friday prayer is arranged in one of the lecture rooms for Japanese language, on the 1st floor of the Environment Building of the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences. This is the only one blue-colored building in the Kashiwa campus. (Please see the website for updates regarding the place, or contact us by email).
